Load control/limiting relay, 3-phase, 290-400 A, manufacturer TENSE (Turkey)

The TRM-400 digital overload relay is designed to protect loads from damage caused by high current, while allowing operational control.

  • 290-400 A (adjustable overload value)
  • Adjustable fault delay time
  • Adjustable operating mode (automatic, semi-automatic, manual)
  • When you purchase a TENSE current relay, you get a ready-to-use device - current transformers are included in the set.

Device use and operating principle

  1. Connect the device according to the enclosed wiring diagram.
  2. After wiring, connect the power supply. The set values will be displayed on the screen for 5 seconds after power-on.
  3. Use the "A>" controller to set the overload value. The set value is displayed on the left screen.
  4. Set the delay time using the "t" controller. The set value is also displayed on the left screen.

When the device is powered on:

  • The relay is energized, the output contact switches to terminal 3, and the OUT indicator lights up.
  • If the current exceeds the set overload value (A>), the device counts the delay time, and then the ERR indicator lights up.
  • After the set time has elapsed, the relay disconnects the contact, switches to terminal 1, and the OUT indicator turns off.

The TRM-400 series electronic current relay is designed for automatic disconnection of loads when maximum permissible currents are exceeded. It has a programmable tripping range and the ability to set the tripping time and inverse time trip. There are 3 return-to- "working" state modes: MANUAL, SEMI-AUTO, AUTO.

Recovery modes

  • Manual mode: To reset the device after an overload, press the reset button. In this mode, the corresponding LED lights up.
  • Semi-automatic mode: Semi-automatic mode allows the device to automatically reset the system three times when an overload occurs, and waits for manual reset after the next fault. The corresponding LED lights up.
  • Automatic mode: The device allows automatic system reset every time an overload error occurs. The corresponding LED lights up.

Note: To change the mode, hold the SELECT button for 10 seconds. After changing the mode, the corresponding LED will light up.
