Controls and Functions
LED indication
-
ON (red) - relay is powered
-
OUT (green, steady) - output relay is active (contact 2-3 connected)
-
OUT (green, flashing ) - counting down to switching
Time setting
The time relay allows setting a precise delay using two potentiometers:
-
Potentiometer "t" (0.1 to 10)
- fine adjustment in % of the total range
- 0.1 = 1 %, 10 = 100 %. -
Potentiometer "TS" - range selection:
-
A = 10 s
-
B = 100 s
-
C = 10 min.
-
D = 100 min.
-
E = 10 hours
-
F = 100 hours
-
Time changes are activated upon the next power-on.
Switching Function
1) Delay-on function - delayed power-on (terminals 2-3, NO)
-
When power is applied, the set time begins to count
-
After the time expires, the output relay (RLY ) activates - contact 2-3 (NO → COM) engages
2) Delay-off via NC contact (terminals 2-1)
-
Contact 2-1 (NC) is engaged even without power
-
When power is applied, the countdown begins
-
After the time expires, contacts 1-2 open
Applications
The ERV-08M timer relay is used in situations where a delayed power-on is required after a certain event:
-
Fan turns on only when the light is switched on (toilet, bathroom)
-
Lighting in a garage or hallway after opening the door
-
Gradual starting of motors
-
Delayed activation of contactors
-
Sequential activation of multiple circuits
-
Delayed device activation
Timing begins when power is applied to the relay.
